It appears the House is consumed with Benghazi, but aren’t the economy, and jobs, and the debt some serious, immediate problems that this country faces?

When are Republicans going to start fixating on real problems that affect millions of Americans, and actually do something to help?

After all, we’ve already had these investigations:

the Federal Bureau of Investigation (opened September 2012 – ongoing)

Five House Committees (Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, Judiciary, and Oversight and Government Reform) initiated their own inquiries (opened October 2012 – ongoing)

Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (October 2012 – report delivered December 31, 2012)

State Department Accountability Review Board (opened October 4, 2012 – report delivered December 20, 2012)

Aren’t EIGHT investigations enough?
@ several answers: I can’t help but remember during the gun control debates how conservatives were so angry that we were being "distracted" from the economy and jobs; and now, it’s conservatives who are distracting us with the "IRS" and the "AP phone" story.

Never because they are the grand obstructionist party! Unless you have a weekly six figure income and donate faithfully to the republican national committee they don’t care about you!

They won’t. They have yet to write a single jobs bill.

Too busy repealing ObamaCare 38 times.

    Too busy defunding Planned Parenthood.

    Too busy being assholes.

They have been for almost 5 years. LOL! It’s not like they can pass something that the Senate and Obama don’t sign onto. When are the Democrats going to do something about the economy and jobs? Oh yeah, it’s Bush’s fault.

No. Apparently we’re going to need nine.

Govt obtains wide AP phone records in probe

The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news.

The records obtained by the Justice Department listed incoming and outgoing calls, and the duration of each call, for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and the main number for AP reporters in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP.

You’d just love it if the congress turns a blind eye to all these scandals and corruption, the same way you have, wouldnt you?

The Obama administration is breaking laws and violating the constitution left and right and the congress are the bad guys for looking into it?

    lol…………..

This is great. Dems caught with their pants down THREE times in a week and this is the best response you got??

What the fk were DEMOCRATS doing the last 3 months? Oh right, gun control since gun crime has been falling for 20 years.

You can bash Republicans. But THIS is an attempt to deflect attention from the political trifecta engulfing Obama at the moment. FAIL.

    EDIT:

"it’s conservatives who are distracting us with the "IRS" and the "AP phone" story."

You’re a tool. Gun control was a non-issue that Dems tried to make into an issue (and failed obviously). The IRS and AP story is ACTUAL SH*T the govt. ACTUALLY DID.

With everything that is going on, that shouldn’t be, in the current administration I doubt they will ever get around to it. You have to make hay while the sun is shining, so to speak.

Why (after 5 years of the same wunderkind President for the New Age) the sudden interest in the economy or jobs? I’ll tell you why. It’s because the typical recourse of all Lefties is to divert attention from the more important tasks at hand (i.e. Benghazi, IRS).

Not all of us are stupid.

Well, repealing Obamacare would help jobs and the economy. House Republicans have held dozens of votes on that, and they’ve gone nowhere in the Senate. So if I was them I would continue working on other things until the rest of the government is ready to fix things.

Plus, these are great topics, since the left is clearly convinced it’s done no wrong here. So they should be looking forward to all the hearings that will vindicate them and make Republicans look bad.
