Question about the Civil Rights Act of 1964?

On November 29, 2012, in Senate Debate, by admin

I’m doing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for a project that focuses on debate and diplomacy. I hear how the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was the longest Senate Debate in history, how I can’t seem to find more details on it. I need to focus on the DEBATE only, the two sides of the debate, and I need a very detailed explanation on the Senate debate of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Links would be greatly appreciated (I need a list of references). Thanks so much!

I hope these sites helps you.

While I’m all for trying harder to find this kind of information, your question is somewhat different than most "please answer my history homework for me." So, here you go:

    http://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/minute/Civil_Rights_Filibuster_Ended.htm

There’s a starting point for you, though it seems like you might have already tried it.

I would also recommend a search of, say, Amazon or Borders, writing down any titles you may find that seem relevant, and cross-referencing them with your local public library to see if they have any of the titles.
