I have a disturbing the peace on my record and i was told by a Navy recruiter that my gun rights have been revoked this doesn’t make any sense to me does anyone know of a new law related to this and/or a place where I can check my gun rights to see if this is in fact true?

Laws of this type are state sensitive and you need to re post with the state you reside in, a generic answer would be that you only lose your firearm ownership rights if you have been convicted of a felony, you need to go to the county court house where you were sentenced and get a copy of your record.~

In most cases, disturbing the peace is an infraction or misdemeanor and so will not prevent you from owning a gun.
